Nonplussed

5'x6' or 60"x72"

I started off with this neat landscape of trees and forest I was painting from a reference I took in the Laurentian mountains. but I didn't like it.

SO I painted over that and just did whatever my brain saw on the canvas. the result is this colorful chaotic painting.

My tripod broke, so it was very difficult to get a good photo of this. I had to use a flash, so some detail is blown out. mostly around the middle. there's a tree there.

I'm making the canvas for my next 60x72 inch painting. the next one shouldn't be as chaotic. it'll be predominantly black. it's referenced from this terrible car accident I have a few photos of. I'll paint it in a similar style to this though.

unless I decide to paint over it when I'm half done.
